We left Maui after five years to take a year long road trip on the mainland in a 24' motorhome. After five months on the road, we reached the north shore of the Olympic Peninsula and fell in love with the Port Townsend area. Within days we were looking at houses and within two months, we moved into our new home in Port Hadlock, which is adjacent to Port Townsend. With the road trip over and a new life beginning, we turned to the question of "What to do?". Our location actually led us to creating Olympic Camping Rentals since Port Hadlock is conveniently located on the way to the Olympic National Park, Vancouver Island and the San Juans, a treasure trove of camping opportunities, We've always been campers and have learned much about camping in comfort over the years and have also seen many mistakes made by novice campers. Then, we looked around and discovered that no one was renting car camping gear. You could rent backpacking equipment, but not the roomier, heavier gear that is appropriate for camping from your car. After all, if you don't have to carry it far, you might as well take all the comfort that you can. So here we go... another adventure begins. Happy Trails!
